OVAL LINGOTTO - TORINO

Oval Lingotto was host to speed skating competitions.
Post-Olympic use: the facility has been transformed into exhibition and trade fair space while maintaining the possibility of reuse for ice sports. It is located near the Centro Congressi Lingotto.
Technical data: the facility is composed of a main hall (about 20,000 square metres) with a 400 metre- long oval ice rink.This main hall is a large, easily-adaptable area due to its completely suspended roof that uses no intermediate supports.

OLYMPIC PALASPORT- TORINO

Designed by the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, this facility hosted ice hockey competitions.
Post-Olympic use: the arena can be used for sport events, concerts, shows, events and conventions.
Technical data: the building is constructed of a large stainless steel mass measuring 183 x 100 metres that is suspended on a 5 metre- high base. Its mobile stands can hold more than 12,000 spectators and can be configured in various positions by using remote controlled machinery to raise and move them as needed.

PALAVELA - TORINO

This building was originally constructed to commemorate the centennial of the National Unification of Italy and was completely restructured in order to host figure skating and short-track events.
Post-Olympic use: the structure can be used for events and temporary exhibitions.
Technical data:with a capacity for more than 8,000 spectators,the Palavela is characterised by its sail-shaped structure,developed around three reinforced concrete arches and anchored to the ground in three points. Its hexagonal base is surrounded by a 150-metre circle and is 29 metres tall at its highest point.The track measures 60 x 30 metres.
